This week I did a corporate event reading tarot for what turned out to be a division of a well-known UK bank.
First question was, “Are you a real tarot reader?”. Clearly some events don’t bother with the Real McCoy, which is a shame, and will do nothing to enhance the reputation of tarot readers.
It was the first time for most of the guests who had a reading. The queue was long, so the readings had to be very quick – 2 or 3 minutes, and it is amazing what can be packed into such a little time.
What was most noticeable was that everyone who worked in Banking were going to get good bonuses – and they were all optimistic for the future. The Ten of Disks, Wealth was very prominent, and significantly it was either next to, or very close to, the Tower reversed, which often relates to previous catastropic events – the Credit Crunch. It is not exactly breaking news… big bank bonuses on the cards, but at least we know this prediction will come true.
There were a few people who did not work for the bank, and none of them had the Ten of Disks nor the Tower, which made it easier for me, especially as everyone was in medieval fancy dress.
So, does the Tower relate simply to the past, or does it foretell shocks and surprises regarding the bonuses? Time will tell.
